AWE Story

AWE In The News

Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs was founded by Rosanna Garcia, Ph.D. in 2015 through a grant from NC State Extension, Engagement and Economic Development seed funding program. Soon after, Kate Annett-Hitchcock, Ph.D. joined the team. The founding of AWE was based on a perceived need for supporting entrepreneurial women in business in the NC State community and beyond. AWE is a safe place to network, ask questions, share experiences and provide encouragement through our community.

We now actively participate with area business leaders, community businesses and academic resources to empower and engage with all stakeholders across NC State campus and our greater community as we build our network of women entrepreneurs.
