Dr. Kate Annett-Hitchcock
Dr. Kate is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management, Wilson College of Textiles, at North Carolina State University. Her research focuses on clothing for health and well-being; product development for differently-abled populations, and historical and cross-cultural inspirations on fashion design.
She has authored peer-reviewed articles, presentations and book chapters, mostly on clothing product development for special populations, and smart clothing technologies. She is committed to women in entrepreneurship and has founded startups in the fashion and textile product arena. She is also a musician and performs locally with two bands.
Tangie Gray Fleming
A proud NC State alumna, she is interested in data visualization and graphic communications. She minored in Business Management while obtaining her Masters degree from NC State and also has a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. She has owned and operated her own entrepreneurial endeavor since 2013.

Cynthia Vanessa Rios
Cynthia Rios is currently a student at North Carolina State University double majoring in Electrical Engineering and Economics.
A Franklin Scholar, Cynthia is actively involved in the Quantum Information Club, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and the NCSU Figure Skating Club. She is active in her community, partnering with nonprofit organizations to promote STEM to youth in underrepresented communities. Cynthia is currently working on media management and event-planning for A-W-E and is excited to learn more about entrepreneurship in the process.
