AWE Zen & the Art of Startup Life Guest Speaker : Reid Miller
Reid Miller is a designer, writer, social justice advocate, and entrepreneur who began her professional women’s wear company after a life-long struggle with restrictive and impractical work wear. A former public health researcher, Reid has an original take on fashion, blending design with problem solving,while considering health and sustainability in her work.
Her non-traditional path to building her fashion line includes prototyping and testing her original take on classic menswear designs tailored for the female form; designing and producing a U.S. made premium denim jean that emphasizes movement; beta-testing a made-to-measure women’s wear production process, and prolifically writing and sharing on her weekly blog, so that she can inspire other women to take action on their dreams.
