Dr. Kate Annett-Hitchcock

Dr. Kate Annett-HitchcockDr. Kate is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management, Wilson College of Textiles, at North Carolina State University. Her research focuses on clothing for health and well-being; product development for differently-abled populations, and historical and cross-cultural inspirations on fashion design.

She has authored peer-reviewed articles, presentations and book chapters, mostly on clothing product development for special populations, and smart clothing technologies. She is committed to women in entrepreneurship and has founded startups in the fashion and textile product arena. She is also a musician and performs locally with two bands.

Dakota Batch

Dakota BatchDakota Batch is a doctoral student in Textile Technology Management in the Wilson College of Textiles, at North Carolina State University.

She is interested in sustainability, natural dye processes and consumer behavior toward textile products and female entrepreneurship in the textile and apparel industries.
